Greetings from America’s Dairyland.
Throughout my career as a copywriter, creative director and agency owner, I’ve had the good fortune to work on a lot of great brands. With a lot of great people. I founded and built three successful shops. But today, I’m doing what I love to do most.
Write.
I start with a strong strategy. I’ve found it’s absolutely essential to creating work that gets results. Sure, I appreciate and leverage the value of data and keywords and content that connects and rates highly. But I also understand and lean into the value of knowing my audience and what motivates them. If you have a strategy that uniquely positions your brand, great! If not, I’ll create one for you. Then I’ll develop and manage content based on that strategy across all channels.
Need more than just strategy and content?
I’m very comfortable in the roles of creative director, team leader, manager, editor and gopher. I know how to build and manage teams. And I’m not above doing the dirty work that leads to success. Along my journey I’ve built relationships with talented individuals with whom I can partner to take on project work for both agencies and brands directly. I’m connected with designers, art directors, developers, PR specialists, media gurus, project managers and more. Doesn’t matter if the opportunity is full-time or project, traditional, digital, social or immersive. I’m happy to team up with those I know as well as those I don’t.
If you’re looking for a a strong, efficient, affordable and connected marketing resource, whether it’s project-based or staff, I might be a good fit. Especially if you believe in the power of strategic, persuasive content.
I’m ready. You?
Steve Koeneke
